Humanoid robots are technically ready for use, but their practical application is lagging behind. This is not down to the technology itself, but to what is needed to work with it: people, the right skills and the extent to which organisations are ready for it. During this Campus Café, we’ll look beyond the hype and get down to specifics: what does an organisation need to actually get started?

We’ll kick off with Breman, a technical services provider that’s fully engaged in digitalisation and robotisation in practice. They see first-hand where the opportunities lie and where companies run into difficulties when deploying new generations of robotics, such as humanoids. Next, representatives from knowledge institutions, such as the University of Twente (Robotics Centre) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences (SMART research group), will provide insight into the skills, partnerships and learning environments required to get started, using concrete examples from the region. Finally, you’ll get to work yourself: in small groups, you’ll collaborate with experts on your specific situation and identify a first, realistic step.
