In the past, robots were primarily used for tasks that were dangerous, monotonous, and physically demanding. However, there is a growing trend of robots working alongside humans. In this edition, we will explore the possibilities of smart robotics and the role of humans in this collaboration. How can we enhance cooperation between humans and machines? What is the impact of robotization on sustainability and reliability? And how can we prepare future engineers for this field? We will showcase practical examples from Riwald Recycling (Almelo), Riwo (Oldenzaal), and Van Raam (Varsseveld) to demonstrate the technological innovation power of Twente!
