Computing is becoming increasingly central to our society and economy, from artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure to embedded systems, smart industry and digital services. At the same time, the energy demands of computing continue to grow, creating a need for greater awareness and more energy-efficient solutions across the entire computing chain.

Meeting this challenge requires collaboration between organisations with different perspectives and expertise. From chip designers and hardware developers to software companies, data centres, industrial users, public organisations and knowledge institutions, every part of the ecosystem has a role to play.

The University of Twente invites organisations from across the Twente region to connect, share knowledge and discover opportunities for collaboration around energy-efficient computing. During this interactive networking event, participants will meet others working on computing, digitalisation and energy, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

What can you expect?

During the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to:

• Meet organisations from across the Twente region working on computing, energy and digital innovation.
• Discover new collaboration partners across the computing value chain—from chips to cloud.
• Exchange ideas, challenges and collaboration interests.
• Explore opportunities to contribute to future initiatives around energy-efficient computing.
• A central part of the programme will be a series of short two-minute pitches, allowing participants to introduce their organisation, explain what they do and share their interests or challenges related to energy-efficient computing.

Participants are also welcome to bring a poster, demonstration or other material to showcase their work and continue discussions during the networking session.

The University of Twente will present the ambitions and planned activities of the Energy-Efficient Computing Community of Practice and invite organisations interested in contributing to future collaborations to become involved.
