Over the past few months, a lot of hard work has gone into the smart crossing between the university campus and the Business & Science park. The crossing is largely completed and can already be safely used by cyclists and pedestrians. At a later stage, the (green) landscaping and relocation of the bus stops will be done.

On Thursday, September 7, a VONK lunch walk will take place from noon to 2 p.m. to inaugurate the ‘Slimme Verbinding’.

To reduce the distance between companies of Kennispark Twente and the campus of University of Twente, the “Smart Connection” was created. The Smart Connection is the crossing that runs from Institutenweg across Hengelosestraat to the University of Twente campus. This smart crossing literally and figuratively connects Kennispark with the University and is part of the Innovation Path that runs from Kennispark Station to the UT.

To open the Smart Connection, we invite you and other entrepreneurs to officially inaugurate the new crossing.

We would like to take you on the VONK lunch walk including a tasty sandwich. This walk will take place on Thursday, September 7 at 12.00 noon and will start at the Broodbode Kennispark. We are expected to finish around 2 p.m.

During the walk, the various VONK committees will give a talk on developments within themes Talent, Sustainability, Area Transformation and Mobility. We hope to see you during this lunch walk!
