On Thursday 19 November 2026, TOM’s Business Event will once again open its doors for Twente’s premier entrepreneurs’ celebration. An evening full of inspiration, surprises and, of course, the exciting announcement of the winners of the Twente Business Awards!

Since 2009, this event has been all about entrepreneurship, ambition and connection. This year, it will be bigger than ever: during a festive evening, we will discover who will be crowned Company of the Year, Start-up of the Year and who will win the Sustainability Award. The five nominees will present their cases to the jury in October, chaired by Albert van Winden (MKB Twente), Bertyl Lankhaar (Director of Kennispark) and Tom Masselink (Director of VMO). During the event, you’ll find out who ultimately takes home the coveted titles.

The line-up is impressive:

• Today, ‘Inside’ star Johan Derksen is this year’s keynote speaker at TOM’s Business Event. The ‘Oracle of Grolloo’, who has become the Netherlands’ most outspoken opinion-maker, will be interviewed by TOM’s editor-in-chief Eddy van der Ley, with whom he already forms a duo at presentations across the country. True to form, Derksen will not shy away from voicing his razor-sharp opinions, particularly when it comes to Twente-related topics and issues.
• The presentation is in safe hands with Eddy van der Ley, who will be hosting the evening.

Alongside the official programme, there will be plenty of opportunity to network, enjoy some food and drink, and raise a glass to entrepreneurial Twente. An evening where inspiration and conviviality go hand in hand!
