Tech Advice and QBayLogic receive grant for ELIAS project: Innovation in probe card testers for the semiconductor industry

Tech Advice from Nunspeet and QBayLogic, based at Kennispark, have received a grant from the RVO’s MIT-R&D Cooperation programme. SubCode facilitated in the application process.

The ambitious project focuses on developing a new digital test platform for probe card testers and test subsystems for integrated circuits (ICs) in the constantly growing semiconductor industry.

A probe card tester is an essential tool that tests the probe card for ICs, where the ICs are connected on a wafer. The semiconductor industry is constantly evolving and innovating at a rapid pace, which also forces test platforms to evolve with it. Current market developments demand innovation, leading to a new generation of test products.

The ELIAS project will result in an advanced digital test platform equipped with new electronics, optics and mechanics. All this will be supported by updated software, some of which can be considered self-intelligent (AI). The programme is being developed in collaboration with Enschede-based QBayLogic, a company specialising in designing FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays) and ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits).

Tech Advice and QBayLogic look forward to using the ELIAS project to set a new standard in the semiconductor industry and contribute to ongoing innovation in test technology.
