Work on the Colosseum Tunnel at Kennispark

From 15 June to 17 July and from 17 August to 4 September, one carriageway will be closed

Contractor Van Haarst is carrying out major maintenance work on the tunnel. This is being done for safety reasons, but also to reduce problems caused by groundwater. The tiles will be removed and the walls and underside will be made watertight again.

Roadworks are subject to daily changes. The schedule is always subject to change – for example, due to illness, a broken machine or very bad weather.

Cars can enter the tunnel from both directions via traffic lights

This will cause some disruption, but the tunnel will remain open for use. One carriageway will also be open at weekends.
On Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July, the tunnel will be fully open to mark FC Twente’s open day. Between 17 July and 17 August, the tunnel will also be fully open again.
