3.5 million euros from the state hefty boost for housing boost Kennispark

The application for housing projects in and around the Kennispark is titled “Binding Talent. Under this title, projects at various locations in the city are brought together. These include Kennispark and surroundings (about 225 housing units) and the Young City concept (316 apartments) in the Enschede city center. These projects stem from the cooperation between the University of Twente, housing corporations Domijn and De Veste and the municipality of Enschede. From this cooperation, so-called springboard concepts are being developed that aim to offer recent graduates and new Enschedeans a good place to start their careers in Enschede and thus bind them to our city. All properties are social housing and thus contribute to the State’s goal of adding as much affordable housing as possible. The State is contributing 3.5 million euros to realize these projects.
