Coronavirus

Since the outbreak of the Corona virus (COVID-19) in Wuhan, China, the virus has spread over a very large area. Infections have also been detected in Europe, including the Netherlands. Below you can read the news report of the UT and what measures they are taking.

The University of Twente keeps a close eye on the current situation regarding the new corona virus, also known as COVID-19, and is in contact as much as possible with students and staff in the risk areas. We support our students (including newcomers and students abroad), staff, visitors and guests, aligning as much as possible with the advice and recommendations from official bodies, such as the RIVM, the GGD, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the central government and the World Health Organisation (WHO). At present, no coronary infections have been detected at the UT.

Where can I ask questions?

Staff, students and Student Services is the point of contact for students who want to be informed about the coronavirus, its consequences and measures. They can contact Calamity Services – Abroad if they have any questions. Employees who want support, can contact the HR advisor of the faculty or service concerned. The general mail address for questions is info@utwente.nl.

The UT has made an overview of frequently asked questions on its website. View them here.
