Dutch Honours Conference
Dutch Honours Conference 2020
The Dutch Honours Conference is a conference for honours and excellence students at Dutch universities and colleges of higher education. The students who follow such extracurricular programmes form the top 10% best performing students of their educational institution. These programmes are open to students from both technical and social science backgrounds. This means that there will be a wide range of students present: from law to physics and from business administration to computer science.
Brave New World
The theme of the conference is Brave New World, based on the book of the same name by Huxley. Within it we focus on the power of knowledge and the limits of science. How can we use the data and knowledge we collect to have a positive social impact? And is humanity capable of solving all social issues in the long run?
Dutch Honours Community
The conference is organized by the Dutch Honours Community (DHC). The DHC is an umbrella organisation for Honours student associations. The current members of the DHC are the Honours student associations of the following educational institutions: University of Amsterdam, Free University, Utrecht University, Leiden University, Delft University of Technology, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Radboud University Nijmegen, Eindhoven University of Technology, Twente University of Technology, Groningen University and Hanze University of Applied Sciences.
