Two opportunities
The available budget is divided between two grant schemes that encourage SMEs to engage in product development, digitization, sustainability and/or testing and/or demonstration of innovations.
1. Innovation Projects
This scheme is for market-oriented innovations within TRL levels 4-8. Entrepreneurs with a smart and sustainable idea who want to collaborate with (other) SME entrepreneurs, large companies and/or knowledge institutions can apply for a subsidy. For this opening a total amount of almost € 34 million is available for Gelderland and Overijssel together. You can submit your application from February 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025 (as long as there is budget available).

2. Test and demonstration facilities
This scheme is for demonstrating and testing new applications within TRL levels 6-8. Think of: innovations that have been tested and validated at lab scale and that you want to demonstrate in practice, activities in living labs with testing facilities and living labs where a prototype is demonstrated. The goal is to ensure accelerated market introduction of products or services. Partnerships of SMEs, or of SMEs with large companies and/or knowledge institutions that want to contribute to a smart and sustainable economic development of the region can apply. For this opening a total amount of €16.5 million is available for Gelderland and Overijssel together. You can submit your application from March 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025 (as long as budget is available).
