Over the past decade, ambitious students from the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences have come together to form seven multidisciplinary student teams. These teams take on challenging projects and aim to innovate in their field of research. As you may already have heard, five of these seven teams have recently moved into a shared office space on Kennispark. This shared space, aptly named The Future Factory, is a hotspot of enthusiasm, ambition and diligence where students develop technology which will shape the future.

Each of the teams at the Future Factory has a unique goal. Solar Boat Twente aims to lead the moment towards sustainability in the maritime sector by creating an efficient solar-powered boat. As for sustainability on-land, Electric Superbike Twente designs and builds a fully electric racing motorcycle, and Green Team Twente promotes a sustainable future by creating an efficient hydrogen car. Sustainability is, however, not the only focal point of our student teams. DroneTeam Twente designs and builds their own drones to innovate and accelerate the drone industry, and RoboTeam Twente aims to inspire and innovate in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, by building an autonomous team of soccer robots. Though each team takes on a completely different project, we are connected through our drive to innovate, making the Future Factory the place to be.
CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN ON 1 AND 2 JULY ALONG THE INNOVATION PATH
In order to manage the logistics and finances of a shared workplace, the five aforementioned student teams have set up a new foundation, Stichting Student Teams Twente. This foundation not only represents the interests of all teams within the Future Factory, it also has a very practical purpose, as using and maintaining our office building comes with additional costs, such as electricity and plumbing bills. Being a new foundation, we are asking for your help, to support this fantastic hotspot of innovation. A donation of any size is greatly appreciated, and on top of that, donations of 100 euros or more will earn you a special place on our “Wall of Fame”, which will be visible to all Future Factory visitors.
