The first route arrows for our eight different lunch walking routes have been placed by Routenetwerken Twente on behalf of VONK. After the routes plotted by Routenetwerken were checked by, among others, employees of VONK member E-Care (bicycle entrepreneur of the year), the final adjustments were made and the eight routes were finalized.

In the coming weeks, the remaining route arrows will be placed and all will have a sticker with a walking sandwich, so that you can distinguish these routes from the longer routes that already traverse our grounds as well. By following “our” signs, you know you’ll be back where you started within 20 to 40 minutes. Ideal for a lunch walk, in other words.
The good cooperation with the University of Twente has ensured that from the “Slimme verbinding” from Institutenweg we can get to the Campus via a freshly constructed forest path where some of our routes are continued. In addition to this effort by the UT, funds from the Regiodeal Twente helped ensure that we could start this project.
